10 best-selling eye drops (you can use with contacts too)

Eye drops, together with a solution and a case, are the basics of everyone who wears contact lenses. They substitute tears (that’s why they’re sometimes called “artificial tears”), reduce dry eye syndrome, burning, sand-paper feelings and ensure that contact lenses are always lubricated.

Which eye drops were the most popular in 2017? Are yours among them? We have prepared a list of the 10-best-selling eye drops of the last year.

You asked:

Can I use eye drops with contact lenses?

Yes, you can use eye drops while wearing contact lenses. Although not all eye drops are equally created. If you are not sure which ones to choose, always ask your optician.

Can I use eye drops with preservatives?

Yes and no. Eye drops with preservatives are not suitable for contact lenses as preservatives can be slowly released and damage the lens structure. If you have to use, note that eye drops with preservatives should be applied at least 15 minutes before lens application.
