Corneal erosion
It is a disease often linked to the trauma (irritation) of the cornea – caused for example by plants, needles, nails, damaged contact lens, deposits, etc.
The ability of the corneal epithelium to adhere to the basement membrane is weakened, which leads to recurrent erosion that can result in inflammation of the eye. Difficulties are felt typical at morning when you open the lid.
Treatment consists of applying ointments or epithelial abrasion. At slowly healing erosions can help compression bandage or contact lens.
