Conjunctiva
The conjunctiva is a thin, transparent mucous membrane that covers the white part of the visible eyeball.
It is very important when comes to elasticity – allows smooth movement of the eyeball. It also has a protective function. And in the same time it is important for the function of secretory – leads to the production of mucin, which is an important component of the tear film.
