Aspherical contact lenses
Aspheric contact lenses, have varying curvatures across the surface, from the edge to the center. But spherical contact lenses have an even curvature on the entire surface of the lens.
For aspheric lens wearers, the image is not as distorted as with the spherical contact lenses and is perceived as sharper because aspherical lenses have very good visualizing properties at the periphery.
These lenses correct low astigmatism effectively.
