How to select parameters?
Power (PWR/SPH)
Power or sphere refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
- dioptres are for problems with near vision (far-sightedness)
+ dioptres are for problems with distance vision (near-sightedness)
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

I bought these by mistake (I use Bausch & Lomb Purevision 2) and I am using them as I opened the box before I realised. They seem thicker than my Purevision 2 and I seem to have some handling problems with them (they stick to my finger). I think my vision is slightly sharper which is why I have persevered but I am constantly needing to use moisturising drops. I find them quite irritating to my eyes at times. Today I went back to my last pair of Purevision 2. What joy!!! I suppose I’ll get through them and will be much more careful with my ordering next time.

I currently wear night and day contact that I sleep in too. Can you sleep in these contacts?

These particular lenses are not supposed to be for continouos wear. However,
since we are all different, I have heard of people who can wear monthly lenses
night and day. It all depends on what the doctor says!
A specialist is the only one who can take responsibility for this.

Is SPH + 02.00 High
I am not sure what the High refers to and if these are the ones which l have selected are the right ones ?-

The power you have is the sphere +2.00 and the parameter HIGH refers to an
add which is used for multifocal lenses. If your eye doctor has prescribed you
an addition to your power, you should purchase multifocal contact lenses.
