How to select parameters?
Power (PWR/SPH)
Power or sphere refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
- dioptres are for problems with near vision (far-sightedness)
+ dioptres are for problems with distance vision (near-sightedness)
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Monthly Extreme H2O 59 % Xtra contact lenses are designed for wearers who work with computers and in air-conditioned rooms. They have a higher starting water content (59%), and are made from a biocompatible material that helps replace any moisture that evaporates. Extreme H2O 59 % Xtra contact lenses are comfortable because they are so delicate, but be careful when handling them!
Extreme H2O contact lenses have been discontinued. The only versions available are the ones currently in stock. Users of Extreme H2O contacts can start using the new Lenjoy Monthly Comfort lenses. Due to the different parameters, we recommend consulting an ophthalmologist about the new contact lenses.
