How to select parameters?
Power (PWR/SPH)
Power or sphere refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
- dioptres are for problems with near vision (far-sightedness)
+ dioptres are for problems with distance vision (near-sightedness)
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Can you sleep in Biofinity Toric?
Yes, Biofinity Toric are approved for up to six nights and seven days of overnight wear. Remember that sleeping in contact lenses is not recommended unless they’re designed specifically for extended wear like Biofinity Toric. Consult your optician to determine if overnight wear is appropriate for you.
What is the difference between Biofinity Toric and XR Toric?
Biofinity and Biofinity XR Toric feature the same benefits and design. However, Biofinity XR Toric contact lenses are offered in an extended range of parameters (from -20.0 up to +20.0) and a higher range of cylinder powers (up to -5.75 D).
What is the difference between Biofinity Toric (6 lenses) and Biofinity Toric (3 lenses)?
Biofinity Toric (3-pack) have three lenses in each box. Biofinity Toric (6-pack) have six lenses in each package.
The main difference is how long each box lasts in total. Biofinity Toric (3 lenses) lasts up to three months and Biofinity Toric (6 lenses) lasts up to six months if one lens from the box is used every 30 days. A difference like that might or might not have an impact on the comfort of your lenses.
The base curve directly affects how the lenses would sit on your eye. Thus, we would not recommend picking a different base curve without consulting your eye specialist.

Hi,
If you want to choose Biofinity, as you could see, they are not produced with
axis 5. Please check with your doctor. He might decide to prescribe either
0 or 10.
Depending on the BC and Dia prescribed, a possible option can be https://www.lentiamo.co.uk/…ic-xr-3.html.
They are produced with axis 5.

I'm trying to order some lens but I have a new prescription and some of the figures are different to those on your drop down menu. eg. On the new prescription figures are half way between those on the drop down menu. Also on the new prescription there are references to distance and near. can you advise me.

Hi, my old lenses have been discontinued and these are the recommended replacement. The old ones were 8.5 curve, and these are 8.7. What diff does that make to the prescription?

Hello Jill, There is a possibility that you will be able to feel the
difference if you change the base curve and/or the diameter of the lenses. Most
lenses come in standard sizes. It is therefore better that you consult with your

For my right eyes my prescription is Sphere -0,50 cylinder -2,50 and axis 50.
But I cant choose the right cylinder cause -2,50 doesnot exist. Do you know if any other Cylinder works?-
